I enjoy telling real stories, because that’s what I have the most experience doing. I pride myself on my attention to the small details, my anticipation of what is to come and most of all my capability to connect with whatever story I’m telling.

I think all viewers can see right through insincere stories, just as they will automatically understand and find ways to relate to real ones. Stories can be told in so many ways. I enjoy finding the most authentic fit for a story and telling it that way. That could mean it has a high production value or it could feel more raw. Whatever makes it original and honest.

My background is in news. I learned to shoot stories as they happened and I learned to anticipate what was going to happen before it happened. I worked in tv markets in North Carolina, South Carolina, Louisiana, Ohio and Minnesota, covering everything from the NFL to local government to hurricanes and floods. TV taught me to shoot video with a purpose, it taught me the power of words and it taught me to always be ready for the moment.
